Our partnership didn’t begin in a boardroom. It began in preschool — back in the days of black-and-white school pictures — and on the quiet neighborhood playgrounds of the community we still call home.

Katie Schulist and Andy Brim have been lifelong friends whose paths have a funny way of circling back together. We didn’t set out to build a company like this. Life built it for us.

Over the years, we walked through the same chapters many families eventually face — marriages, divorces, and blended families, illness, the loss of parents and loved ones, and the emotional complexity of moving someone into assisted living. When we helped our own aging parents navigate downsizing and estate closure, we experienced firsthand the late-night sorting of decades of heirlooms, the weight of closing a parent’s home, and the quiet responsibility of honoring a lifetime of memories.

That experience changed us.

We realized there was a real need for something more than a contractor, more than a real estate agent, and more than an organizer. Families needed steady hands who understood both the logistics and the emotions.
